Things are really taking shape in week 4. The cabinets are installed and all trim is complete on them. The lighting has really made a difference. Sheetrock touch up is almost ready for wall paint, and all the ceilings are retextured and painted. Things will slow down for a few days while we all celebrate the holiday with our families, however on Tuesday most of the wood floors will be completed and Wednesday the granite will be installed.

Early in week four, this is a big day! The cabinets were delivered this morning and are being installed today and tomorrow. The hand rail is in going toward the family room, and of course the unexpected issue of the day is all the rain and leak that has developed by the French doors….we will need to resolve that before we can continue with the wood floors.

Mandy’s Kitchen Update 12/16/11 ~ WOW! It’s really coming together. The wood floors are going down starting in the entry and living room, the stair railing is being installed, the sheetrock repair is being finished, and everything prepped for the cabinet delivery the first of the week. The powder bath on the first is demoed out, and the template for the granite is done for the upstairs bath and the powder bath. Next week will be a big one….stay tuned!

We are getting ready for the cabinet delivery on Monday. The sub-floor is being screwed down (no squeaks) and the rest of the sheetrock is being installed. The ceiling in the hearthroom and eating area of the kitchen have been scraped, textured with a knock down finish and painted. Things are happening fast now…..
